UPLOAD A FILE TO OUR SERVER
Put all of the song files in one folder and create a zip archive of the folder. If you have
you own FTP server upload the files there and give us the link. If not, use a free
service like DropBox to host your files.
For smaller projects which are 10mb or less (Example: Midi projects with one audio
track for vocals, you can use our FTP on the right of this page to send the *.zip..
For regular clients with multiple songs we provide an FTP user/login for you on our
server. Use any application to connect to it although Smart FTP is a very good free
application.
Your archive should consist of contiguous audio files for every track in the song.
In most workstations this is called "consolidation" and all consolidated tracks
should start at 0:00 and end at the end of the track. Doing this track by track
(consolidating tracks of simlar length together) also ensures that the file sizes are
best minimized. Do not render with FX unless the FX are crucial to the root sound,
like with amp sims and similar.
If your host can render the FLAC format you can use that. It's a lossless format and
it will help keep the archive small. In any case, load all of your consolidated files
into a new empty song and play the song to make sure everything is there.
